Since Valentine's Day is in February, I decided to make music classes all about LOVE. From counting hearts to skipping valentines, we sang, danced, and played instruments to learn songs about loving each other, loving ourselves, and loving our family and Jesus. Here are the musical concepts each age worked on in February:
The Christmas season is in full swing during music time. While the month might be short, we are working hard to sing, and dance, to a variety of holiday songs. You may hear your child come home singing the classics like "Jingle Bells" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas"..... OR.... they may share a new song or two like "Christmas Bells" and "Dance like Snowflakes."
It's hard to believe November is here. We had a blast in music during October. You might have heard your children singing some fun songs like 'Spider on the Floor', One Little Owl, and their all-time favorite- BOO. As we move into November, we will continue to focus on participation in singing, movement, instrument playing, and listening (the hardest of them all :):

Preschool music should, and will be, all about fostering a love of exploration and creativity, allowing each child to develop at his/her own pace. Here is what your child will learn in music throughout this school year:
